Sorry no photos!

Hi to everyone out there, I'm sorry I don't have any photos for you today, I have been very sick with a middle ear infection and bronchitis, I am due to fly to England on Tuesday and I'm not sure if it will go ahead as yet. I am on very strong antibiotics and lots of other medications to try and shift it. I have been praying hard for my recovery and would appreciate any prayers or good thoughts from you all out there, thank you in advance. I have recieved my special apron and my twelve free stamp sets from Stampin'Up! and have yet to mount them all, but I think they may have to wait for my return from England now. Lori has sent me e-mails to let me know she is safe and having fun on her travels, she is in Cambodia now. We have acquired Lori's cat who is named Noah, the dogs are not impressed! So Noah goes out the front door and the boys go out the back door. Oh well hopefully I will send a hi from the UK but if not I will bring photos home to show you all in Nov. Oh I must change my details on here , as today we celebrated our twenty third wedding anniversary.Take care all and stay crafty, lots of inky hugs from...

Happy birthday !

Hello out there in blog land! I know things have been a bit scew-whiff around here, what with the changes on this blog etc. Well believe me none of it was by choice! I'm not quite sure what went on but I'm hoping we have sorted it all out ISH! I want to put a new header up but I am waiting to have a spare few minutes to deal with it, those of you who know me will be aware of all the goings on in this family of late. We saw my eldest daughter off at the airport today and I was really good, I didn't cry once. She is off to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, India, then over to Eastern Europe followed by a quick visit to the grandparents in the UK. We will see her again in Feb.09. I know it won't be long before she is off again to explore new places, so we make the most of it when she's here with us.
This card was made for a very close friend's son's daughter (I hope that makes sense) She was one year old on the same day that my eldest turned twenty one, on Sat. Her name begins with S, incase you were wondering why the big S. I used the set called Wild About You, I attached some googlie eyes to the croc. I also used the set called Priceless for the lone butterfly, which was covered in Dazling Diamonds. The card stock used was Barely banana, Gable Green, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White. I saw a card similar to this on SCS a while ago before I even had this set, but I have changed it quite a lot. I hope you like it. Thanks for visiting, lots of inky hugs from...

Some more swaps...

Hi All, Well as promised here are some more of the swaps I made for the convention. Inside these cute little books on a key chain are some pos-it-notes. I got the idea of making these from a blog which I visit regularly in the us, it belongs to a very talented lady called Angie, so thanks for the inspiration. I made twenty of these and they went really fast. I got lots of really nice swaps back so it was worth all the effort, I will do it all again for the next convention too. I hope you enjoy your visit today. Take care and stay crafty! lots of inky hugs from...

Regional Swaps

Hello all, WOW! I had sooo much fun at the Perth convention on Sat. I was sat at a table a table with my good friends Ingrid, Marg, Marie and Lynne, we stamped and were all given a new stamp set which will be released in our next mini catty. It is called 'Live your Dream' and that was exactly what I was doing on Saturday. I felt so blessed to be a part of the excitement and camaraderie that exists in the wonderful company of Stampin'Up!®. We had so much fun and it was so special to have my close friends with me, so if your reading this, thankyou for coming along with me. I made thirty two swaps and this is a picture of a few of the lip balm holder ones that I did, it was great fun to swap with all the other demonstrators, I made some little key chain post-it-note holders too, I'll post them on here tomorrow for you to see. I can definitely recomend being a part of the Stampin'Up family, they are so generous with all their resources and incentive gifts for their demonstrators, we had the great pleasure of being able to watch two of their American demos come over and wow us with their incredible talent and humour, it was a wonderful day, we made four projects with our new stamp set, we saw some great demos by some very special demonstrators including my very talented upline Makeesha and her upline Ngaire Anderson who just so happens to be this years demonstrator of the year, Ngaire gave us all some business tips. and now I really want to go to the big convention next year in Canberra. If ever you were thinking of joining up with a stamping company please do yourself a favour and consider Stampin'Up!, I would be happy to tell you more about this great company, so feel free to contact me by e-mail and I will get back to you to tell you about all the amazing benifits of being a demo or just keeping it as a hobby for you to gain access to the resources and wonderful gifts etc. I also hold monthly get togethers which are free for anyone who joins with me, we do swaps and learn new techniques together, I can also e-mail classes and projects to anyone who would like to join up but doesn't live near by. Incase you didn't know I LOVE Stampin'Up. Thank you to all of you who swapped with me and I will endeavour to get onto your blogs and e-mail you, take care, lots of inky hugs from...

Ingrid's Birthday card!

Hello paper crafters, I know it's been a while since my last post for father's day, I have been struck down by the dreaded flu! First my DH got it, then my DD and then she kindly shared it with me. I'm not feeling the best and I have to try and make a whole heap of swaps for our regional convention on Sat. here in Perth. I'm so excited about going as it will be my first Stampin'Up!® event. I will tell you all about it after I've been. I made this card for a dear friend who has been away on a great holiday, she was away for her birthday, but I gave this to her on her return home. I used my one of my favourites from the mini called 'Always', I embossed with some of Stampin'Up's gor-jus gold embossing powder. The background was so much fun to create but you can't really see all the colours on it from this photo, I used the 'Sanded' and the 'En Francais' background stamps, I used sponges to mix on several different colours including: River Rock, Groovy Guava, Apricot Appeal and Regal Rose. I used the mat pack to create the faux stitching around the card and the tag punches for the happy birthday tag, some yummy Choc Chip taffeta ribbon down the left hand side. I also used the half inch circle punch to cut out all those little flowers, but had to use scissors to cut out the others and the hearts. I hope Ingrid liked it as much as I had fun making it. Take care all and try and avoid this flu, lots of inky hugs from...

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's day to all you dad's out there, the card on the top is the one I sent to England for my dad even though father's day in England isn't today. I always send him one on the Aussie father's day so he can celebrate one with all my siblings and then another with me. I will be home to give him a big hug soon! The card on the bottom was made last week for a good friend's birthday. I love making these little shirts and I showed my friends who came on Tuesday for a stamp and chat session how to make them too. Oh well I hope you all enjoy a wonderful day spoiling your dad's and those of you who can't, please remember them fondly. Lots of inky hugs from...

Lucky last from the Stamp-A-Thon.

Hi All, This is the last project from this years Stamp-A-Thon which my upline Makeesha held to raise funds for the breast cancer foundation.
We used the set called Season of joy which you can find in the current mini. I love this set and it can be used with the set called Priceless which is in the main catty, the two sets have very similar flourishes in them and there for lend themselves to be mixed and matched. We used the So Swirly wheel on the background of this lovely Purely Pomegranate card stock, we then cut some of the new paper from the Holiday Harmony designer series, this was topped off with some scrumtious satin ribbon (Purely Pomegranate) A couple of brads and it's begining to look a lot like Christmas! Thanks for visiting with me, lots of inky hugs from...

Number seven...

Hello fellow paper crafters, I'm having a hard time designing tonight and one of my new downline is in need of some simple Christmas cards for tomorrow! Mmmmm!!!!! Oh well I'll take this time to show you all number seven from the S.A.T. Once again I wasn't concentrating on what I should of been doing and my card turned out a little different to the one that Makeesha had designed for us. My ribbon is on the wrong side, I made this mistake several times on the day and I'm not left handed so I can't make that excuse, I was just having too much fun! I bet after seeing all the fabulous projects we made you are all wishing you could of been there too, well make sure you book in quick next year. I'm not a Bold Brights sort of person, but I really love this card and how fresh it is. We used one of the cute fruits from Tart and Tangy, a set from the mini. We used my favourite technique of rock-n-roll with the orange. The crop-a-dile was used for some dry embossing and gave this card some texture.
I'm going to go and look for my mojo now and see if I can come up with something before two in the morning, which seems to be my best hour. Take care all and stay crafty. Lots of inky hugs from...

Something other than a card!

Hi All, Well here is something a bit diferent to normal, it's another project from the S.A.T. and it's a cute little post-it-note holder. Just incase you didn't notice, there's no stamping on this one. The double sided designer paper is from the current mini called : Summer Picnic, the coordinating ribbon is Real Red striped grosgrain from the main catalogue. Several punches were used to make this cute keepsake and they included: Scallop circle, the 1and 3/8 circle and the 1'' circle. As you know I'm a big fan of 3D items and this is a particular favourite, thanks again Keesh! I hope you like it as much I had fun making it, thanks for visiting. Lots of inky hugs from...

Apple Cider designer paper.

Here's another one of the cards made at the S.A.T. we used some really yummy paper from the Apple Cider range in the current mini. The stamp set used is called 'True Friend' also from the current mini. We used Blue Bayoo ink and a Really Rust marker to ink the flower up, chocolate Chip ink was used with the sentiment stamp. I really liked this one, I think I felt a conection with it after cutting all the pieces out for the kits, so if yours weren't messured correctly you can blame me! I can't believe how blessed I am to have such a talented and generous upline as Makeesha, she makes us all believe in ourselves and gives us such encouragement. I only hope I can be as inspiring to my downline as she has been to hers. Yes that's right I now have some wonderful girls who have joined my team and I can't wait to share all the fun of Stampin'Up! with them. Hi To Lynne, Kelly, Leonora and Lori. Welcome to the Stampin'Up! family. Take care all, lots of inky hugs from...

more from the Stamp-A-Thon..

Hi All, I hope this finds you in good spirits. I thought you might like to see another one of the projects that we were lucky enough to make at Makeesha's S.A.T. We used the set called 'One of a kind' for this one and some of that yummy designer paper called 'Berry bliss'. Three diferent punches were used and they were as follows: the round tab, the spiral and the new Boho punch from the mini, for the flower in the center. Some Purely Pomegranate double stitched ribbon finished this very pretty card off.
Oh well I better get off to bed for some much needed sleep, another busy day tomorrow. Take care all, lots of inky hugs from...

A birthday card for Morgan

Hi All, Well the weather is certainly on the change and we are now having some really beautiful days filled with sunshine. My birds are in full song and very excited to see summer on her way, at night I can hear the magpies singing their chorus and the kangaroos are visiting our flowers at night for a midnight feast! I feel so blessed to be surrounded by all this wonderful nature.
This card was made a couple of weeks ago for my very special God daughter Morgan, it was her 7th birthday! I used the set called 'Birthday Whimsy' from the sale-a-bration catague last year. I had a spare so I gave her one to make some cards for her friends at school. She is a very artistic child and loves to draw and stamp "not much influence needed on the stamping either!" She comes up for card making lessons and we have great fun together. I used some really vibrant colours on this one and 'Bold Brights' had an outing. the cards stock is Pink Passion and Only Orange, I used some Green Galore brads to embellish it and I used Pumpkin Pie, Pixie Pink and Gable Green ink. A small piece of designer paper from the old summer mini and a bit of cuttle bug embossing on the Pixie Pink card. I used the photo corner punch as well as the corner rounder. I got the idea for this card after looking on SCS, love that site. Oh well take care all and stay inky, lots of inky hugs from...

Clowning around!

Hello fellow blog surfers, I was inspired to have a go at this page after visiting my upline Makeesha's web-site. I changed things a bit but it's very similar to one she had done with her beautiful daughter in it. This is my eldest daughter Lori who is about to turn 21 in Sept.! the photo was taken in our garden back in the UK before we came to live in Australia. I used to do face painting at fetes and parties so I made a book with all the different face painting I had done. I have used the flitting by wheel in the background by inking it up on a Purely Pomegranate ink pad and wheeling it onto an 8x8 page of the same colour. I used some pretty in pink card stock to mount the photo onto and used the photo corner punch as well as the round tab punch to embellish the page. Some Purely Pomegranate ribbon and some pretty in pink brads finished of the embelisments as well as a stamp from the Define your life set with the word Perfect and it's deffinition, I also used two words from the flexible Phrases set, Precious and you. I stamped a few little insects from the Garden Whimsy set along the bottom of the page. I hope you like it, I certainly felt a pang of nostalgia when looking at it! Take care, lots of inky hugs from...

Another snip-it from the Stamp-A-Thon!

Hi All, I hope you all enjoyed your weekends, I didn't get much done but I did make my father's day card to send back to my dad in England. I promise to upload a picture of it soon.
This gorgeous little ensemble is one of the projects we all made at Makeesha's S.A.T. I had way too much fun that day and didn't really consentrate on what I was doing, hense nearly all my cards were a little different to the way they should have been! I still love all the things we made and I can't wait for next years. We used another one of my favourite sets called Piceless for this little card, it just seems to go so well with Regal Rose, it's as if they were made for each other. I love this little bag for the card to go in, I am a bit of a three D item girl and always demo one at every workshop I do. Oh well take care all you crafty people and thanks for visiting with me. Lots of inky hugs from...

Stipple Rose

Hello and happy Sunday to you all! I am having a very lazy day, just as you should on a Sunday. I thought I had already uploaded this card but when looking through the archives noticed that I hadn't, so here it is. I made this one with the 'Stipple Rose' Stamp which is one of the very few stamps that you can buy singularly apart from the background stamps. I first used this stamp at the first and only Stampin'Up! workshop that I went to and unfortunately the lady was very new to stamping and was not very knowledgable about Stampin'Up! products, I had taken my Mother-in-law along and she quite liked the stamp and baught it. She has never used it, so I thought I would put it to good use last week when I was asked to do a demo for a lovely group of ladies, they specifically asked for old fashioned cards so this is one of them I showed. I promise tomorrow I will not put up more brown! Take care all and stay crafty. Lots of inky hugs from....

Always

Hi Every one, I hope this finds you all enjoying your weekend. I just thought you may like to see another card made with the set called Always from the mini, I used Chocolate Chip ink and stamped 'Sanded' background stamp onto Creamy Caramel card stock, I then stamped the 'En Francais' background stamp onto some Very Vanilla cardstock using Close to Cocoa ink, next I used the little twig stamp from 'Always' to create some more background, stamping in full ink then just stamping again without re-inking. The bird and the flower were stamped with Choc Chip onto Very Vanilla and the edges were distressed using the cutter kit. The word 'Always' was inked with one of the Stampin'write markers in Choc Chip and mounted using the oval punches and some vintage brads. I used the window punch to cut out the beautiful sentament ' always on my mind and forever in my heart' The ribbon is Choc Chip 5/8' grosgrain. Hope you like it. Take care, lots of inky hugs from...

A bit of Scramping!

Here's another snip-it from the Stamp-A-Thon. The hearts are from my all time favourite set from the spring mini which is called 'Always'. We embossed the first two hearts with white embossing powder and layered the third on top after doing a bit of 'Poppin'Pastels' technique to it. The word 'Cherish' is from my fav set in this years main catty which is called 'Baroque Motifs', we cut it out with the window punch. It was such a fun day and I would recomend it to anyone who loves to laugh and stamp with friendly peolple! Have a stamperific day! lots of inky hugs from....

A birthday gift for someone special!

Hi All, How cute is this little owl! I love birds as you all may of gathered by now and when I saw this gorgeous little owl in the ' Celebrate Everyday' set which is in the new Spring mini catalogue I couldn't resist it. There is also another little bird in that set too, so I will endeavour to upload a card with that one on for you. I got the idea of how to make this little gift card holder from my ever talented upline Makeesha and it was for her birthday that I made this one for. I put little googley eyes on it so they move arround when you shake the card. I coloured him in with Creamy caramel and choc chip SU markers which of course match the same coloured card stock perfectly. The ribbon is the 5/8's' grosgrain choc chip. I pierced the holes arround the scallop with a matt pack. The words 'Celebrate and Whoo hoo! are from the 'Celebrate Everyday' set. The 'For you' which has been mounted in the two punched out ovals is from another mini catalogue set called 'One of a Kind' , this set has some beautiful little flowers with it that you can buy a matching punch for and it cuts them out perfectly. If you would like to see the new Spring mini please contact me . charmaineblck@yahoo.com.au Lots of inky hugs from .....

Fun at the Stamp-A-Thon!

Hi there everybody peeps! I know you have all been so patient waiting for these photos to be uploaded and I really do apologise for taking so long. I have lots of new photos of all the projects we made at Makeesha's Stamp-A-Thon, so I will put them up a few at a time and put some other projects in between too. I've been a very busy stamper of late and have got some really special news too...I have now got a fabulous little team and the ladies who have signed up with Stampin'Up! through me are going to meet here once a month to exchange ideas and share swaps, I can't wait for all the fun we will have together. I'll tell you more about them later.
This gorgeous little box in a bag was one of the eight projects which we made with Makeesha, it was made with half a sheet of designer paper from the Out Law pack, we made a little box which we then wrapped the paper round and then put the scalloped trim around the bottom. The 'For You' tag is a stamp from the Occasional Greetings set and the stamp in the middle is from Wanted, punches used were the round tab, the scallop circle and two different circle punches, we used the Crop-a-dile to set the jumbo eylets to finish it off. I love it and I will fill a few of these with chocolates or alike for gifts at Christmas time. Thanks for looking and stay tuned for the next project, I'll upload it it tomorrow, lots of inky hugs from....

An Early Christmas card

Here's the Christmas card I mentioned in my earlier post, I used my fav. technique again (rock-n-roll) with Old olive and Garden Green, This is a two step stamp and the second stamp was stamped in Versa mark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder from SU. The stamp set used is called Solemn Stillness and the background on the Old Olive card stock is done with the matching wheel called Star Studded. I used the slit punch to add a little gold brad in the corner, I hope you like it. I was at the craft fair all day today with two of my very best friends " Hi Marg and Marie" We had a lovely day and we bumped into lots of fellow stampers and chatted about all the goodies we had seen etc. Well I'm off to see my friends at our monthly Stampgroper meeting tonight and then it's early to bed so I can be fresh and ready to stamp all day at my uplines Stamp-a-thon tomorrow...Can't wait! Take care all and happy stamping from.....

One more gift card holder

Hi All, I am really busy with things this week so I thought I would just upload another of the little projects which I demoed at my last worskhop along with the Paris scrapbook page and the little tulip card, I also did a Christmas card with them which I will upload later or tomorrow for you.
This little gift card holder was made using one of the Wheels which is called Flitting by, it's the one which goes with Bold Butterfly. I wheeled it accross the white cardstock using Regal Rose ink, the little butterfly is from Garden Whimsy and has been inked using the rock-n-roll technique. I used Apprricot Appeal and Regal Rose, very yummy together. The ribbon is Regal rose and brad Appricot Appeal. On the incert card I used a stamp from Party Punch and it's a level one hostess gift. It comes with two other stamps that fit the round Tab punch and another three that fit the Designer label Punch "Very useful". I hope you like it, take care and keep warm. Lots of inky hugs from....

A bit of Rock-N-Roll and Poppin' Pastels.

Hello fellow stampers, I hope you are all keeping warm and dry, the weather is really wintery today. I have had a friend over for a stamp and chat session today, we didn't get much stamping done but I did Christen some of those new stamps from the mini catalogue. I will post a picture of what I did later in the week. These little cards were made a couple of weeks ago and the one with the tulip is done using the Poppin' Pastels technique, I love the simplicity of this one and of course it's very quick to make, so everyone at my last demo made one to take home. The set that the tulip comes from is called Garden Whimsy, the punch used is called Spiral, the colours are Certainly Celery and Regal Rose. The little thank you card has be made using one of my favourite techniques at the moment which is Rock-N-Roll, the butterfly is again from Garden Whimsy and the inks used were Groovy Guava and Purely Pomegranate "Luv these colours", the thank you was from Warm Words. It's my thank you to all of you who have sent kind words for the recovery of our injured family members. Take care and happy stamping, lots of inky hugs from....
